So sorry for your loss. Such a beautiful post, it's brought tears to my eyes and also I wanted to say I can so relate, as I couldn't write at all when I lost my dear dad three years ago. Especially not my usual light hearted romances!
In desperation I wrote anything, mostly miserable depressing stuff about how devastated I was, which I kept on a word document. It was like turning the tap on and eventually I was able to write more cheerfully again and create the next novel, though it took time.
So lovely about the hare, totally understand as since losing both my mum and dad, there have been such encounters, particularly with butterflies, which is a great comfort. Sending a huge hug xx
